Happy Friday! We made it through another week! I hope you are celebrating this weekend with some time outside, a good nap, or a nap outside!

For those that don’t know, I am a Nanny during the week while I am building up Avery Elizabeth Photography to a full-time job! Last week I found out that I was going to have a few surprise days of vacation and I knew that I wanted to take a little day trip somewhere, despite the weather calling for rain. I decided that Annapolis might be fun and started convincing Dustin to take off work and come with me! Thankfully he gave in!

I was so surprised that it was less than an hour away from Alexandria! In my mind, it was a lot farther away.

We arrived and it was still raining, the mist kind of rain, so we grabbed our umbrellas and walked around Main Street. There was this amazing bookstore with beautiful, old books, and an adorable little children’s clothing store! (I love looking for little gifts for my Nanny babies!)

The rain stopped for a small time and I was able to snap a few photos of the Hubs…and then he said, “Hey! Take a picture of this!” and started climbing the wall!! HIS FACE GUYS! I could hardly look at my screen without dying laughing! There is never a dull moment if Dustin has an idea for a photo!

I am also trying to train Dustin for any future business endeavors we may go on so he snapped a few photos of me before the rain started again. I have to say that I was proud of him when I was going through the photos!

The rain became hard to handle so we decided to go to the Mall and walk around to see if we could wait-out the rain. During that time I restocked on my LUSH facemasks and bath bombs. I also made Dustin go in every furniture store we found and pretend like we were redecorating our home! (I love interior design and décor too!)

After awhile we decided that the rain was not going away so we hopped in the car and decided where to eat dinner. We had SO many wonderful suggestions on where to eat and what to do! Thank you to everyone that helped us! Based purely on our cravings (a.k.a. Crab dip and straight hunger) we stopped and ate at Federal House Bar and Grille. We were not disappointed! The crab dip was amazing. I might even get that as my meal next time! Once we finished eating we grabbed some Starbucks and headed home.

Here are a few of the photos from our trip! Hopefully next time we can have more sun for photos! Definitely scroll down to see the photos of Dustin! It will be worth it!

Talk to you soon!
