Happy Wednesday!!
I hope you had a great weekend! We had cooler weather than normal but it was still beautiful outside. For me, the weekend was a chance to slow down a bit and catch my breath after a crazy few weeks. It was emotional, and fun all at the same time.
Saturday morning brought some rest that was desperately needed! I was able to sleep in a little bit, and watch some TV before getting ready to meet up with my family! My Dad’s favorite superhero is Wonder Woman so we, of course, had to make the movie a family affair! My sister, Siera, dressed up like Wonder Woman for Halloween one year. One day we were all sitting around the living room and the photo came up in the conversation and we joked about making t-shirt for the movie. You better believe that I designed and ordered those shirts before I left my parent’s house that night! It was hilarious to watch people react to us wearing them. Some laughed, some starred, and some did a little of both but we laughed our way through it and it is a sweet memory for us 🙂
Sunday morning brought church and it was a great time together. We said goodbye to a close family friend and went to his viewing on Sunday evening. It is hard to see someone you love pass away and be in pain for so long but the joy of knowing that he is in Heaven, with his wife and Jesus, outweighs the sorrow I feel in having him not around. Mr. Teddy was a man of dignity, humorous, and genuine man. He became one of my Dad’s closest friends and like another member of our family. We will always love and miss him!
Yesterday I got to celebrate the life of my friend and wedding photographer, Stephanie Messick! It was so nice to relax with her and the girls while watching The Bachelorette! Steph has become such a special friend to me and it was an honor to celebrate with her!! We shared a sweet time with some of her closest girls. You can learn a lot about a person by looking at who they surround themselves with and Steph has chosen well! Everyone was so kind, funny, and genuine.
Now that this week is rolling I don’t think life will stop rolling until the end of June because….
WE’RE MOVING!
ALSO, WE ARE GOING TO BE MARYLANDER’S! (P.S. I’m not sure if that is the technical word and spelling but I won’t tell if you don’t!)
Some of your were probably hoping for a baby announcement of some sort (not yet! haha) but Dustin and I are so excited for this new adventure of having a home! This house has been such a blessing and to find a house to rent and find it cheaper than our current condo rental is something only God could do! We’ll only be 5 minutes from National Harbor! Ahh! We can’t believe it! Plus, we have a yard so if you ever want to grab dinner or grill, just let me know!!
With all that being said, please bare with as we finish packing and move! I promise I will blog as much as I can until our internet service stops and keep updates on the move posted on Instagram ( @averyelizabethphtoto ) I will be back sometime in July to write a post on the house with some photos once we have things sets up! Photos with our boxes just wouldn’t have the same feel, you know? 😉
Until the next time I can escape from the mountain of boxes, I love you and I am so thankful for you!
Talk to you soon!
