Giving Back | First Assembly Alexandria, Virginia

Happy Friday!

Blogging has been slow this past week or so–I promise I will explain next week–but before we head into the weekend, I want to share about an outreach I had the honor of photographing and taking part in!

My church, First Assembly of God, turned 100! We have held a lot of events and invited a lot of Guest Speakers to celebrate throughout the month of May. On May 20th we held Spring for Alexandria Community Outreach! We partnered with Mount Vernon Community School to spruce up their outdoor garden area, build new vegetable boxes, stand and stain benches, and much more.

I was so proud of how many people came out on a Saturday morning to serve this school. We created an environment for students to imagine, learn, and relax! We have been speaking a lot about legacy and the difference between leaving a legacy and just being part of history. I am so thankful that I am part of a church that strives to leave a legacy in their community and the hearts of people.

Here are some photos of our time at Mount Vernon Community School! If you’re interested in being part of future events, make sure to stay updated with First Assembly’s events!

Talk to you soon,
